High-performance Reactive Magnesium Cement Incorporating Hollow Natural Fiber and Silica Sand

چکیده

Global warming caused by CO 2 emissions makes reactive magnesium cement (RMC) increasingly attractive due to its ability sequester , however, the diffusion of in RMC is severely limited dense hydrated carbonates (HMCs) formed on outer layer. This work utilizes hollow natural fiber (e.g., sisal fiber) facilitate into deep part specimen. Combining with adding silica sand as a filling agent, mechanical strength can be enhanced from 42.4 MPa control group 92.6 specimen vol.% fiber, this attributed that addition significantly enhances carbonation depth. FTIR and XPS results further prove or more improve degree over 200%, leading sharp reduction emission 37 kg/(m 3 >MPa) 12.1 ∘MPa) fiber. Therefore, promising approach make stronger sustainable.

Reinforcement of Glass Ionomer Cement: Incorporating with Silk Fiber

The aim of this study was to synthesis of glass ionomer-silk fiber composite and to evaluate the effect of adding natural degummed silk fiber on the mechanical properties of glass ionomer cement (GIC). For this purpose, natural degummed silk fibers with 1 mm in length and 13-16 µm in diameter were added to the ceramic component of a commercial glass ionomer cement in 1, 3 and 5 wt. %. Compressi...

Structure and Properties of a Natural Celulosic Hollow Fiber

The interaction of thermal radiation with conduction and laminar natural convection in a vertical circular pin, situated at participating gas, is numerically investigated. An absorbing and emitting gas is considered, and treated to be a gray participating media. Under the idealizing of gray gas, the Rosselan4 approximation is employed to describe the radiative heat flux in the energy equation. ...

Permeability Characteristics of Compacted and Stabilized Clay with Cement, Peat Ash and Silica Sand

The present paper investigates the influence of stabilization with cement, peat ash, and silica sand on permeability coefficient (kv) of compacted clay, using a novel approach to stabilize the clay with peat ash as a supplementary material of cement in the compacted and stabilized soil. In order to assess the mentioned influence, test specimens of both untreated and stabilized soil have been te...

Spectral attenuation limits of silica hollow core negative curvature fiber.

In this paper we discuss the limits of attenuation of silica hollow core negative curvature fibers in the wavelength range from 800 nm up to 4.5 µm. Both numerical and experimental results are presented and show good agreement. A minimum attenuation of 24.4 dB/km was measured at around 2400 nm wavelength, while 85 dB/km was measured at 4000 nm.

Polyvinylidene Fluoride Hollow Fiber Membrane Contactor Incorporating Surface Modifying Macromolecule for Carbon Dioxide Stripping from Water

Porous surface modified polyvinylidene ï‌‚uoride (PVDF) hollow fiber membranes are fabricated through a dry-wet phased inversion process. Surface modifying macromolecules (SMM) (1 wt. %) are used as additives in the spinning dope. The performance of the surface modified membrane in contactor application for CO2 stripping from water is assessed through the fabricated gas–liquid membrane contacto...
